Zera Mission Africa marks Easter with clean-up exercise

A Non-Governmental Organization, Zera Mission Africa, last Saturday organized a clean-up exercise in Banda Fawoman, a community in the Banda district of the Bono Region as part of the Easter celebrations.

According to the organization’s coordinator for Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions, Mr. Bright Debrah, “cleanliness is next to godliness”, hence the exercise last weekend.

He pointed out that the organization has been cooperative in helping with cleaning, which is believed to promote a healthy environment for healthy living.

Speaking to rbnewshub.com, Mr. Debrah stated that a healthy community is a wealthy community and urged the Banda Fawoman community members to keep their surroundings clean.

“We are not doing this for only today but will come together from time to time to clean the surroundings to ensure that the exercise has a long-term impact,” he added.

Take responsibility

The coordinator urged the community members to take full responsibility for cleaning their environment for their benefit.

The team of Zera Mission Africa, including Fawoman community members, desilted choked gutters and cleared the bushy areas in and around the Fawoman community.

The coordinator, who led the exercise, reiterated that the organization is determined to stop the untidy conditions in the Banda district, arguing that: “It does not reflect well if you work in an untidy environment. Cleanliness is next to godliness. We must remind ourselves to keep our surroundings clean.”

Transformational goals

To achieve transformational goals, Mr. Bright said that maintaining cleanliness is an essential responsibility, adding that an untidy environment discourages effective business operations citing that first impressions last forever.

To ensure sustainability, he stated that their team will regularly remind commuters to keep their surroundings clean.

The community members commended organizing the clean-up exercise by Zera Mission Africa on the aim of promoting a sense of community responsibility and environmental stewardship in Banda Fawoman.
