Okyeman Association of Georgia, a group based in North America, has made a generous donation to support children at Our Faith in God Foundation orphanage in Akwatia of the Eastern region.
The donation includes essential items such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, noodles, tomato paste, mackerel, biscuits, assorted drinks and water.
Speaking at the occasion, Kwame Asare, the Treasurer of the association, expressed the group’s motivation for supporting the children’s facility annually, saying: “We’ve been a group in North America, and we decided to help, and every year we feel motivated to come back and give to these children. It’s nice watching them grow,” he said.
Mr. Asare highlighted the impressive work done by the facility’s management with limited resources and expressed the association’s intent to continue assisting to complete some of the facility’s projects.
Robert Baafi, an Executive Committee Member of the Okyeman Association of Georgia, affirmed the group’s commitment to ongoing support.
“We’ve been doing this every year and we’re not stopping anytime soon because our checks have proven to be legit. So, every year around September we raise money, and we come and present to them. It’s gratifying to see that they continue to build and support the kids,” Mr. Baafi stated.

He commended the facility’s coordination and logistics efforts, describing them as impressive and expressing gratitude for the work being done for the children.
Janet Oppong, CEO of Our Faith in God Foundation, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Okyeman Association of Georgia for their donation.
She blessed the association with “showers of blessings” and prayed they receive returns on their generosity.
Mrs. Oppong promised efficient management of the donated resources, emphasizing transparency and a corruption-free operation to safeguard the children’s future.
She also reiterated the foundation’s openness to support organizations, groups and individuals.
