Ɔdɛɛfoɔ Ɔgyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, the Omanhene of Sunyani, has assured the Headmaster and Management of School that SUSEC is very dear to the Boahen Korkor family and the Sunyani Traditional Council and therefore nothing should be done to soil the name of the school.

At a courtesy call on him by Management of SUSEC, Ɔdɛɛfoɔ Ɔgyeamansan Boahen Korkor II assured the school of his continuous support, stating that his doors remain open for further collaborations.

The Omanhene was unhappy that in the last few years, WAEC has been withholding the results of final-year students of SUSEC due to examination malpractices.

He advised the school to install CCTV cameras at exam centers to curb this misconduct and pledged his support to facilitate the process.

Mr. Gordon Osei Marfo, the headmaster of SUSEC, poured out his frustration over the rate at which the school’s lands were being encroached upon by people and appealed to the Omanhene to help reclaim and protect the institution’s property.

Market queens visit

In another development, various market queen from the Sunyani Central Market have met with Ɔdɛɛfoɔ Ɔgyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, the Omanhene of Sunyani to discuss significant issues impacting traders, particularly at the Nana Bosoma market square.

In addition, the presence of hardened criminals and prostitutes threaten the security and safety both the market women and their customers, thereby disrupting business activities.

They further called for the relocation of hawkers into the main market.

The women urged the chief to collaborate with the Sunyani Municipal Assembly to prioritize existing traders in ongoing store allocations rather than favoring outsiders.

Responding, the Omanhene tasked the Dompemhene of the Sunyani Traditional Area to lead efforts at removing unauthorized structures and activities around the market.

He also encouraged market women to maintain cleanliness to promote a hygienic environment.

The Sunyanimanhene assured the traders of his commitment to work with relevant authorities to enhance trading conditions.
