Addressing leadership failures in the NPP, Bono Region…

In a time when vision and foresight were desperately needed, a few dedicated members of the party in the Bono Region took the initiative to propose the establishment of a Regional Party Office.

Under the leadership of Chairman Toma, a committee was formed to identify a suitable location for this important project. However, their efforts were interrupted when the Brong Ahafo Region was restructured, giving birth to the Bono Region.

Subsequently, the current Regional Chairman, “Baby sharp teeth” Kwame Baffoe, affectionately known as Abronye DC, took over, the vision for a Regional Party Office and failed flat.

The regional executives were urged to act, leading to the formation of another committee tasked with scouting land for the construction of this office. The committee comprised distinguished members: Mr. Joseph Mensah (1st Vice Chairman), Mr. Asare Baffour (immediate past deputy regional secretary), the late Kofi Darko (former regional organizer), and Alhaji Alabey (current regional treasurer).

Thanks to their diligence, land was successfully secured. Yet, it is disheartening to acknowledge that nearly six years into our governance, the Bono Regional New Patriotic Party has not completed a permanent Regional Secretariat. This is not merely an administrative oversight; it is a glaring indication of missed opportunities and failure in leadership.

A party that prides itself on development and vision must embody these values within its own structures.

The inability to finalize this critical project reflects poorly on the priorities and commitment of those entrusted with steering the party’s affairs in the Bono Region.

Questions arise regarding the handling of project funds:

1. What has happened to the 1,000 bags of cement and cash donations from Dr.Mammud Bawumia?

2. Where are the donations from Allan John Kwadwo Kyerematen?

3. What about the contributions from Hon. Kennedy Agyapong?

4. And the other donations from well-wishers, ministers, government appointees, and constituencies?

It is troubling to observe that Abronye DC and his associates are now pointing fingers at one another, accusing each other of mishandling project funds, corruption, and sabotage. Abronye has publicly claimed that the MPs he appointed to oversee the project used the funds for their own campaign purposes during the constituency primaries and general elections.

The time has come for the good people of the Bono Region and the New Patriotic Party to rise to the challenge. We must not allow incompetence to tarnish our reputation and cause disgrace to our region.

SAY NO TO ABRONYE DC & SAVE THE BONO REGION FROM DISGRACE!

Let us unite to demand accountability and transparency in our party’s leadership. Together, we can restore the vision and commitment that our region deserves.
