LoGSAPP Elects First National Executives at 2025 AGM in Kumasi

Members of the Local Government Service Association of Physical Planners (LoGSAPP) have elected their first National Executives to steer affairs of the Association.

The 13-member executives were elected at the 2nd Annual General Meeting of LoGSAPP, held in Kumasi over the weekend as part of major activities of the 2025 Conference.

Pln. Gifty Nyarko was elected as their National President with Plan. Nayram Akutei and Pln. Isaac Owusu Mensah as the 1st and 2nd vice-presidents respectively.

The position of the General Secretary went to Pln. Samuel Ansong while Pln. Jesse Labi Addo was elected as the Deputy General Secretary.

The others were Pln. Honorata Nsomah Akanzinge, Financial Secretary; Pln. Jonathan Obuobie, Deputy Financial Secretary; Pln. Lawrence Fynn, Organizing Secretary and Pln. Charles Alan Gyimah, Deputy Organizing Secretary.

Pln. Ruth Agyeiwaa Badu and Pln. Abigail Agyenim Boateng were the National Women’s Commissioner and deputy respectively, whilst Pln. Kofi Yeboah and Pln. Frank Awenate Yaro were the Public Relations Officer and deputy.

His Honour Fred Obikyere, a Circuit Court Judge led the Executives to swear the Oath of Office and Secrecy.

Concrete ideas

The LoGSAPP two-day Capacity Building Conference was on the theme: “Planning for Resilient, Inclusive, Climate-Sensitive and Disaster-Free Communities for Efficient Infrastructure Development and Service Delivery”.

There was a spontaneous group discussion to produce concrete ideas, plans and ways to solve recent problems in areas of rainfall, climate change and impact of disaster in the country.

The AGM sought to build network and formulate strategies in building resilient and climate smart infrastructure systems for sustainable cities in Ghana.

In her remarks, Plan. Nyarko, the National President assured commitment of the leadership to help the Association deliver its mandates effectively in nation building.

She urged all physical planners to be time conscious and exhibit professionalism in discharge of their duties.
