Ghana’s beloved 9-year-old highlife sensation and compassion ambassador, Lady Nyamekye, is set to mark her 10th birthday this Wednesday, August 7, in a deeply meaningful way. Rather than a lavish party, the young star—born Samuella Nyamekye Agyapong—will spend her day giving back at “Compassion is Love in Action,” a charity home in Yawhima near Sunyani. There, she will share joy, gifts, and love with underprivileged children, showing once again that true greatness begins with the heart.

Currently in Class 3A at Peniel Glory Preparatory School and daughter of Mr. Seth Agyapong and Mrs. Beatrice Asare, Lady Nyamekye has risen to national fame through her standout performances on the Star Kids Africa Talented Kids Show.
With her powerful highlife single “Call to Action” and her record-breaking streak of weekly awards—including Best Performer and Most Voted Contestant—she is redefining youth talent in Ghana.
But it’s her deep empathy that truly sets her apart. From inspiring social experiments to consistent advocacy for kindness, Lady Nyamekye has become a role model for children and adults alike.
Upcoming Grand Durbar
A Grand Durbar in her honor will be held on Wednesday, August 13, at the Suma Ahenkro Chief’s Palace, hosted by Odeneho Dr. Afram Brempong III, Paramount Chief of Suma Ahenkro. This cultural celebration will recognize her remarkable journey and rising influence.

Catch Lady Nyamekye on Star Kids Africa Talented Kids Show, airing Thursdays at 4 PM on GHOne, and Sundays from 3–5 PM on Bryt TV and Pan African TV.
Lady Nyamekye is not just singing, she’s inspiring. Not just performing, she’s transforming hearts.
